I’m Tammy Leininger, a Licensed Professional Counselor and EMDRia Certified Therapist. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an approach that helps your brain process past experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming or present in your day-to-day life. Many clients find that this allows them to experience real relief, not just manage symptoms.

There’s a story in the Bible where Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. It’s a miracle! But he’s not done yet. He asks the community around Lazarus to “unbind him.” Lazarus may be alive again, but he’s still bound up in death cloths. So often this is true for us: We have new life, we’ve been “raised from the dead,” but we’re still bound up in the death cloths of fear, imposter syndrome, shame, people pleasing, or suppressing our emotions as we walk through the world.
