You don’t have to stay stuck in anxiety, fear, or shame. If you’ve been trying to work through things on your own; reading books, listening to podcasts, or pushing through; but still feel overwhelmed or stuck, you’re not alone. You may notice your anxiety showing up in different ways, whether it’s racing thoughts, difficulty making decisions, or even feeling it in your body. I’m Tammy Leininger, a Licensed Professional Counselor and EMDRia Certified Therapist. I help individuals work through anxiety, trauma, and the patterns that keep them feeling stuck so they can move forward with more clarity, confidence, and freedom.
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an approach that helps your brain process past experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming or present in your day-to-day life. Many clients find that this allows them to experience real relief, not just manage symptoms.

There’s a story in the Bible where Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. It’s a miracle! But he’s not done yet. He asks the community around Lazarus to “unbind him.” Lazarus may be alive again, but he’s still bound up in death cloths. So often this is true for us: We have new life, we’ve been “raised from the dead,” but we’re still bound up in the death cloths of fear, imposter syndrome, shame, people pleasing, or suppressing our emotions as we walk through the world. Unbound Living Counseling is here to help you name these death cloths and begin to unbind them from your life so you can live in freedom.

I use evidence-based therapeutic modalities like EMDR and ACT to target the problems that are keeping you from the life that you want to live. We can’t out-think our thinking, and I have seen the power in addressing the way your body and nervous system have held stress and trauma, to bring lasting change.
