About

Stephanie Catmull is a Licensed Professional Counseling Candidate and EMDR Trained.  She is a graduate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, and she also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of San Diego.  Stephanie also has her Level 2 Certificate in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Stephanie has been a Christian for the last thirty years and intentionally incorporates biblical principles into each session. She understands that people can be on different points in their Christian journey and is willing to meet each person where they are so that they feel secure in a trusting, safe environment that is free of judgment, shame, and criticism. She endeavors to demonstrate the unconditional love and wisdom of Christ to each person so that their healing can begin and that their psychological, spiritual, emotional, and cognitive restoration can take place.

Prior to coming on board to Rock Your Family, Stephanie worked for the past 8 years as a high school English and AP Psychology teacher while also sponsoring several clubs for teenagers. Her hobbies include hiking, writing, reading, and photography.

Stephanie has a passion for working with individuals who have suffered traumatic events in their lives and believes that their unique, difficult journeys set them apart as valuable, worthy people who are searching for healing, hope, and recovery. As an LPCC Christian Clinician in Colorado Springs, she treats everyone with loving respect and kindness, and brings understanding and compassion to each client so that they feel warm, safe, and loved. She brings a variety of different modalities to her sessions as she collaborates with her clients in a way that meets their individual needs.

Stephanie is comfortable with working with different philosophical approaches which are tailored to address the unique personalities and needs of her clients, and her primary theoretical orientations include cognitive -behavioral, person-centered, narrative, solution-focused, and reality therapy.

Stephanie has a blended family of 5 children, 1 grandchild, and has been married to her best friend and husband of 27 years. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2011 to enjoy hiking, fishing, and the beautiful great outdoors. She is also an avid reader with her own personal library at home, which she enjoys with a good cup of tea and surrounded by her 3 dogs and cat.
