Hi my name is Sonya Orr, I would be honored to walk alongside you through life’s challenges and help you find hope, healing, and restoration. My approach to counseling is to utilize both biblical guidance and practical tools, to help support women as they navigate anxiety, fear, grief & loss, relationship problems and the lasting effects of past experiences. My goal is to provide compassionate, Christ-centered care that helps my clients move forward with faith and purpose.

My two favorite bible verses that I use in my counseling ministry are:

3 John 1:2, (NIV) “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”

Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV) “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Together, with God at the center, let us press on towards the goal of becoming more like Christ, to be healed from the past and seek God’s purpose and Plan for your life!

Sonya Orr holds a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Counseling and an Associate’s degree in Biblical Studies from The College of Biblical Studies. She is a certified Professional Life Coach, Master Mental Health Coach, Master Human Flourishing Coach, and has a specialized certification in the area of Grief and Loss through the American
Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

She is passionate about helping women of all ages who are struggling with emotional pain, grief, loss, anxiety, fear, trauma, relationship challenges or who are just feeling stuck. With compassion and discernment, her desire is to walk alongside her clients, encouraging them to press forward while equipping them with both practical and Biblical principles (Phil 3:7-14).

On a personal level, Sonya knows firsthand the pain of depression, addiction, loss and grief. She credits her Christian Faith and Biblical Worldview as the
foundation for her own journey towards healing.
