1 Corinthians 1:30

I have received many episodes of grace and favor as I applied Scripture to my various difficult experiences. I do not assume that my circumstances define God’s will, but I seek Him for His instructions. Nothing is impossible with God. I used the above Scripture – as led by Holy Spirit- to pray for a son who was experiencing symptoms of a nervous breakdown. He was able to receive and quickly recovered as he learned what forgiveness really is- and is not.

I have learned that the current principles of neuroplasticity are also found in the Scriptures. In fact most of what we are discovering today was first shown in the Bible. Romans 12:2 is really what “positive affirmations” are all about, or changing our distorted beliefs (CBT).  We just need to be located on our identity in Christ and what God reveals that we can have (health and provision) if we listen and obey.

Though I have been abandoned by people (i.e. ex-husband, “best” friends) God has never left me or forsaken me and has always faithfully provided for me and my children. As I leaned into searching the Word and listening to His voice, I did not lose finances or homes or even reputation.
