Sandy Young
Licensed Professional Counselor
About
Welcome to Young Counseling Services! I have a passion for helping individuals find their inner source of hope and gain the skills to work through life’s obstacles.
I recognize that there is a lot of uncertainty in the world as well as pain within our own personal stories. Through gentle exploration of both our belief systems and past experiences, I believe we can gain wisdom. This clarity can help us to process through our uncomfortable feelings, alleviate symptoms, and experience restoration.
With patience and perseverance I provide a safe, personal, and realistic approach to counseling. You don’t have to be weighed down by your emotions. Healing can be the start of your new beginning!
Licensed since 2011, I am experienced in working with adult women and men of various backgrounds.
My approach is focused on the individual needs of each client and may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Story Work, Christian Counseling, Mindfulness Practices, as well as additional modalities. I have had the honor of working with people who are experiencing a variety of struggles including symptoms related to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relational conflict, faith struggles, and life transitions.
