Asking for help can be incredibly difficult, especially when we feel like our faith should be enough. And yet even as Christians we can struggle with grief, depression, and anxiety. Our struggles don’t mean we don’t trust God or imply we are ‘bad’ Christians. They just mean we might need some extra help, and I’d like to help you with that. For years, my personal mission has been to bring hope to those who are hurting and is inspired by 2nd Corinthians 1:4 – God comforts us in our troubles so we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. I know what it is like to be overwhelmed by grief, navigate significant life hardships, and feel stuck in the pit of depression. God has brought comfort and healing to my life in a way that I want to pay it forward and serve others on a similar journey.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, trapped, helpless or lost after a loss? Or maybe you feel anxious, angry, ashamed, stressed, or depressed while navigating a difficult life transition. You don’t have to navigate these feelings alone. I have years of experience guiding people through grief and loss through individual therapy, facilitating support groups, developing bereavement programs, and speaking at seminars, trainings, and events throughout Southeastern Michigan.
My top priority is offering the safety and support you need to express the painful thoughts and feelings associated with your loss or stressful life transition. We will work together to learn tools and techniques that can help you identify factors that may intensify or prolong your grief, including holidays and other important milestones.
My goal is to help you identify key strengths that build resiliency and can lay the foundation for long term healing and growth. As impossible as it might seem, you can have renewed hope and rediscover a life with meaning and purpose. Let’s take the first step today!
