Empathetic. Compassionate. Accepting. Although I am not perfect, this is who I strive to be both in and out of the counseling room. The counseling room is your safe space to explore the conditions that are causing you to seek counseling. My highest goal is to demonstrate God’s love for you, even if you choose not to incorporate spirituality into your sessions with me.

In counseling, I take a holistic approach, recognizing that you are a complete person – body, mind and soul – and taking care of you means paying attention to wellness in every part. From a person-centered perspective, I believe you are the expert on your own life, so we will work together to explore the things that are causing you distress, develop goals, and create a plan to relieve that distress. In addition, we will consider the impact of your environment on your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. If trauma is a part of your story, I recognize its lasting impact on a person’s life and believe that healing from past trauma is possible. Spirituality is important, regardless of religious affiliation, and I am willing to bring faith practices and spirituality into your counseling to the degree you desire. My goal is to help you move toward a better state of mental health and wellness. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on this part of your journey to a full and abundant life.
