Mollie Montgomery
CSW (Clinical Social Worker)
About
I have been in the mental health field in an official capacity for over a decade working in various settings including chronic pain clinics, domestic violence shelters, outpatient mental health clinics, and since 2018 have been in private practice focusing on supporting people healing from interpersonal and relational traumas. In this time I have worked with individuals, families and groups in short-term counseling and crisis intervention settings, long-term deep therapeutic processing, and provided support and advocacy to people navigating the legal and child welfare systems. I absolutely love working with people in this capacity and am honored when people share their healing journey with me.
I love exploring and understanding the mind-body connection; how we were created to be in wholeness and harmony within ourselves and our environment, how separation; from God, from others, and from the truest versions of ourselves derailed this natural progression and leaves visible and invisible scars, and how in Gods design our body’s and minds are always capable of healing and getting back on track. Much of our time together in the therapeutic space will be focusing on mental and emotional health though we will always keep the perspective that you are a whole person and with that we get to be on the look out to see how healing in one area effects all areas of life.
As I continue to walk in my faith and seek God, I experience personal healing in the Truth and Love of scripture as expressed in Jesus. As I continue in my role as a therapist I am deeply encouraged and excited to see science catch up to biblical wisdom on the necessity and power of unity, forgiveness, hope, and unconditional Love, and I love brining the two together in the therapeutic space! God created us to be whole beings, unified, and reliant on Him. The disruptions of trauma, betrayal, and the pains and sufferings of life can leave scars, but God made us to heal and be whole, and being the giver of all good things, I bring into our work His promise to finish what He started.
