Michelle Silva-Mera
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
About
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns that keep repeating in their lives and relationships. On the outside, they may appear to be holding everything together, while internally they struggle with anxiety, sadness, uncertainty, or feeling disconnected. They may be navigating depression, grief, trauma, relationship or family challenges, or difficult life transitions.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I provide a compassionate, supportive, and faith-sensitive approach to therapy that recognizes the connection between emotional well-being, personal growth, and spiritual life. I help clients gain clarity, better understand their emotions, recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop healthier ways of coping so they can move forward with greater peace, confidence, and purpose.
My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship challenges. Together, we work to manage overwhelming thoughts and emotions, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. For clients who desire to incorporate their Christian faith into the therapeutic process, I welcome the opportunity to explore how Biblical principles, prayer, and Scripture can provide encouragement, perspective, and hope during difficult seasons of life.
I believe that faith can be a meaningful source of strength as we navigate life’s challenges. Scriptures such as Proverbs 3:5–6, which encourages us to trust in the Lord and seek His guidance, and Ecclesiastes 4:12, which speaks to the strength found in connection and support, offer reminders that we do not have to face life’s struggles alone. When appropriate and desired by the client, Biblical teachings can complement our therapeutic work while we explore emotions, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you are accustomed to handling everything on your own. You do not have to navigate this season alone. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. Whether you are seeking emotional healing, healthier relationships, or a deeper sense of clarity and peace, therapy can help you take meaningful steps forward while honoring the role your faith plays in your life.
