I am a fully licensed therapist in Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, and North Carolina. I have a Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary, and I have over 12 years experience in providing therapy to people from all walks of life, ages, and backgrounds. While in seminary I met my husband, who is now a pastor, and we have been married for 17 years and have 3 children. We have lived in several places and have experience in various ministries, through which God has taught me the importance of faith and trust in all circumstances.

I love stories- whether it is from books, movies, or hearing about people and their experience, I am reminded of how we are all a part of God’s story, and His redeeming work in this world. My therapy style is meant to create a safe space for you to be open to tell your own story. I believe that when we tell the good, the hard, and even the things that make us afraid, instead of brushing it aside or dismissing it, God helps us to discern what is true about who we are, who He is, and who we are in Him. I also believe that we are created to grow, but sometimes we get stuck. As a therapist, I want to help someone move forward and grow in their faith and trust in how God is leading them and how the Holy Spirit is working transformation in their lives.

I believe that fulfilling therapy values the whole person. God gave us a body, a mind, and a soul. Caring and nurturing each part is important, and when one area is in distress, it can create problems in the other areas. I like to work with individuals to help address the whole person, such as setting goals to promote healthier physical habits, work on coping skills for difficult emotions, and finding ways to grow in their relationship with God.

Because I am a mom and a pastor’s wife, I have many obligations in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends, so most of my availability for sessions is during school hours Monday through Friday.
