Marla loves the opportunity to walk with people in the midst of hardship while graciously pointing them to the hope of Christ. Marla is a licensed clinical social worker and has earned her BSW at Indiana Wesleyan University and MSW at Indiana University Purdue University. She has several years of experience working in a mental health agency doing a mixture of school-based, group home, and outpatient counseling, most recently serving as a counselor on the staff team of College Park Church. As an extension of her biblical counseling training, Marla has completed the CCEF Formation Certificate and is a Certified Christian Trauma Care Provider.

Marla is most passionate about individual counseling with teen girls and/or women walking through trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational hurt. After receiving her BSW she served as a houseparent at a Christian residential treatment facility for teen girls. She received additional experience during her MSW serving at a residential treatment facility in the Dominican Republic, where she learned how to incorporate holistic care by combining counseling with her love for Jesus, the outdoors, and adventure.

Marla enjoys most outdoor activities, like hiking, hammocking, and camping. She and her husband enjoy their time with their two kiddos and bernadoodle.
