I came to faith during my college years in China at age twenty, after a lifetime of striving and achievement left me feeling restless and searching for something deeper. When I first encountered the message of the Cross and God’s unconditional love, I realized that what I had been longing for was not another accomplishment, but a relationship with Him.

This conviction continues to shape both my life and my work. Seventeen years later, I named my practice The Restoring Place based on Psalm 23, “He restores my soul,” reflecting my belief that while therapy can facilitate growth and insight, true and lasting restoration ultimately comes from God. As a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, my approach integrates sound clinical methods—such as EMDR and somatic work—with biblical truth.

I work especially with high-functioning adults navigating anxiety, grief, or life transitions who desire not only symptom relief, but deeper clarity, healing, and growth. I approach faith integration with sensitivity and respect, recognizing that some clients carry hurt from past religious experiences. Rather than imposing, I gently explore where each person is spiritually and, if desired, incorporate faith as a meaningful resource—helping clients distinguish between God’s character and human brokenness, and supporting a more authentic and restorative relationship with Him.
