Luke Merrill
Licensed Professional Counselor
About
Luke Merrill is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois with a heart for bringing hope and healing to children, teens, and families. He holds an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University and a B.A. in Ministerial Studies from Christian Life College.
With a background in pastoral ministry, Luke previously served as a Children’s Pastor and comes from a long line of ministers. His deep love for Jesus and the local church shapes his counseling approach, integrating biblical truth with evidence-based strategies.
Luke specializes in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, emotional regulation, and family dynamics. His work is rooted in connection, safety, and growth—believing that healing happens when people feel seen, known, and supported. Whether through play therapy, talk therapy, or cognitive-behavioral tools, he walks alongside families to build resilience and restore relationships.
Luke currently serves as a Deacon in his church, teaches counseling and psychology at Christian Life College, and partners with schools and ministries to support the mental and spiritual well-being of the next generation. Outside of the office, you can find him playing the drums or enjoying a board game night with his wife.
