My name is Linda Degner and I have lived in several different places across the US including New York, Florida, Arizona, Nebraska, and back to Arizona. I believe that inviting a therapist into your life takes courage and I take that honor very seriously. When I made the decision to become a licensed counselor I chose a program that included courses in seminary as well as traditional counseling courses as I believe that counseling and Scripture are inseparable. Throughout my life experiences I have questioned the whys of difficult times which led me to Genesis 50:20 – “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization), PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy), Theraplay, and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy). I have significant experience working with victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect, children in foster care, couples, and Christian Counseling. I believe that being a counselor is not a job, but a ministry and a calling.
