About
You might be wondering if counseling is right for you. Sometimes taking the first step can be the most difficult. Having the support of someone who truly empathizes and is there to listen is valuable. Through counseling, you can gain a fresh perspective, learn positive coping methods, and become empowered to have a more fulfilling life. We will formulate therapy goals and work together to meet your specific needs. I offer a confidential, safe, non-judgmental space where you can be heard. We will focus on healing and change in a supportive and caring environment.
As a former teacher, I believe that knowledge is power. When appropriate, I use psychoeducation and bibliotherapy. My specialties are EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Attachment Theory techniques. Utilizing mindfulness-based techniques that are simple and practical offers many benefits as well.
Please do not hesitate to call today. I offer an initial, free phone consultation to determine whether counseling is a good fit for you. I look forward to hearing from you!
