Many of the clients Joshua works with are successful on the outside but exhausted on the inside. Whether navigating relationship conflict, unresolved trauma, spiritual questions, military transition, or the pressures of leadership and responsibility, Joshua helps clients find clarity, healing, and a path forward.

Life can feel overwhelming when stress, relationship challenges, trauma, anxiety, depression, or major life transitions begin to impact everyday functioning. During these seasons, having the right support can make all the difference.

Joshua Parker is a Marine Corps veteran and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, connection, and confidence. His path into counseling was shaped by his own journey of overcoming mental health struggles, giving him a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to seek help and pursue meaningful change.

Joshua specializes in working with young men, couples, veterans, and families facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, work-life balance, life transitions, boundary setting, career concerns, spiritual formation, and relational conflict. He also provides support for premarital counseling, marital enrichment, infidelity recovery, blended family integration, divorce discernment, and helping veterans successfully transition into civilian life.

As an African American therapist, Joshua is committed to helping reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and increasing access to quality care within underserved communities. He believes therapy should be a space where individuals feel understood, respected, challenged, and empowered to pursue lasting growth.

Clients often appreciate Joshua’s ability to combine compassion, authenticity, practical insight, and humor in the counseling process. His approach is both supportive and direct, creating an environment where clients can explore difficult experiences while developing concrete tools for change. Whether helping someone heal from past wounds, strengthen relationships, navigate a crisis, or gain a deeper understanding of themselves, Joshua strives to meet clients where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.

Joshua approaches counseling from a holistic perspective, recognizing the interconnected nature of emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual well-being. He integrates evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailoring treatment to the unique needs and goals of each client.

He earned his Master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and continues to practice under clinical supervision while pursuing ongoing professional growth and advanced training in Marriage and Family Therapy. He utilizes the word of God to create an environment saturated with the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self control (Gal. 5:22-23).

Joshua believes that healing is possible, healthy relationships can be rebuilt, and personal growth can occur even in life’s most difficult seasons. His goal is to help clients move beyond simply surviving and begin experiencing greater wholeness, resilience, and connection in every area of life.

Whether you feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply ready for growth, therapy can become the place where things finally begin to make sense again. You do not have to figure it all out alone.

Joshua is just one call away.
