Hello, I’m Jody Brewer, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I’m grateful you’re taking a moment to get to know me. I’ve always been curious about people—the ways our stories differ, yet often carry the same emotions, hopes, and challenges. It’s a privilege to walk alongside individuals who feel overwhelmed and are searching for clarity, healing, or direction.
My career has taken me through many meaningful roles: teaching future therapists, supporting patients navigating binge eating and bariatric surgery, leading mindful eating and stress management groups, providing crisis intervention, and supervising programs in psychiatry, addiction medicine, and social medicine. After all of that, I’m thankful to be back where my heart feels most at home—working directly with clients in the therapy room.

My approach is grounded in compassion, education, and a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe deeply in growth and in the wisdom of Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him, and He will make your paths straight.” That verse reflects the steady, hopeful posture I bring to this work.  Anytime I have needed Him, my Lord has been there for me. However, when I have leaned on my own will, He has corrected me.  The word trust in Hebrew means “to lean on” which means we can lean our whole weight on God and he will be there.  Give him your pain and he will help you through it.
Outside of my practice, I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 30 years, and together we’ve raised two wonderful sons, and a very spoiled maltipoo named Zoey.

I have specialized training in navigating ADHD both as a parent of two sons with ADHD and Autism, as well as someone with ADHD.  I am also trained in EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy for Trauma and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.  I also have training in treating eating disorders using CBT-E and Intuitive Eating.

I am also a lifelong learner having recently completed a doctorate degree in Clinical Biomedical Ethics.  I believe that when our actions are aligned with our faith and ethics, we will find rest.
