With over 30 years of experience, I am a caring and compassionate Christian counselor dedicated to God’s using me as His instrument to support individuals, families, and groups within Christian outpatient settings.  I use a variety of effective, evidence-based approaches like EMDR, IFS, CBT, Emotional Freedom Techniques(Tapping), the Gottman method, and Attachment Theory to help clients overcome life challenges, trauma, and behavioral issues. The efficacy of these techniques is a constant reminder to both my clients and myself of how absolutely amazing our Heavenly Father is in creating minds and hearts that can be healed in such interesting ways. I have created and presented Christian-based resources and programs on topics like divorce, single parenting and single parent dating. I also authored a curriculum for churches and community groups that thoughtfully addresses the many unique challenges of remarriage, often overlooked in marriage prep discussions.  With God’s help, I am deeply committed to building trusting, supportive relationships in which my clients can achieve positive changes and become the whole persons God created them to be.

In Isaiah 43: 19 God promises “I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert”.  This is the scripture that guides my work and helps my clients hold on to hope in the hardest of times.
