Jamie Min
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
About
Hello! 안녕하세요!
I’m Jamie Min, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I hold a Certificate in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I bring together clinical expertise and spiritual understanding to create a therapy space that is both evidence-based and rooted in grace and compassion.
My own faith journey has deeply shaped the way I walk alongside others. I have experienced God’s steadfast love in seasons of uncertainty and growth, and it has strengthened my conviction that nothing can separate us from the love of God. As Romans 8:38–39 reminds us, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This truth guides my heart and my work with every client.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Columbia University and a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Drew Theological Seminary. This unique background allows me to meet you where you are—whether you’re seeking traditional talk therapy, practical skill-building, or a space that honors and integrates your spiritual journey.
My approach to therapy
I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I draw from evidence-based therapies such as:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns toward healthier perspectives.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): to strengthen emotional regulation, resilience, and mindfulness.
Faith Integration: for those who want their spiritual life and Biblical teachings to be a meaningful part of their healing process.
In faith-based sessions, I often draw from Biblical principles of grace, renewal, and hope—helping clients see how God’s truth speaks into their emotional and relational struggles. Prayer, Scripture reflection, and Christian mindfulness may be integrated when desired, always in a way that feels comfortable and authentic to you.
I offer therapy in both English and Korean, and I am committed to creating a safe, culturally sensitive, and faith-honoring space where you can feel truly seen and supported.
What you can expect from our first session
Our first session is a time to pause, breathe, and share what has been weighing on your heart and mind. I take a holistic approach, exploring your emotions, relationships, stressors, strengths, and hopes. This is a space where your story is honored without judgment.
We’ll work together to clarify your goals and explore what healing might look like for you. Whether or not faith is central to your journey, you are welcome here. For those who desire it, I offer counseling that integrates Christian values, prayerful reflection, and an awareness of God’s presence in life’s challenges.
This time and space are for you—you don’t have to walk alone. I will journey with you, offering guidance, compassion, and tools to help you find peace, strength, and renewed hope through both evidence-based practice and the unchanging love of God.
