The Lord gave me wonderful Christian parents, for which I am grateful. I came to know the Lord as my personal Savior at a young age, and have been active in our local churches all my life. I happily share my faith with my clients if they give me permission to do this, but if not, I respect their choices. One of my favorite passages in the Old Testament is Jeremiah 29:11-14. This passage gives hope, even in situations that seem hopeless. Here is an Amish Proverb that I try to live by and utilize in therapy sessions: “Regrets over yesterday and the fear of tomorrow are twin thieves that rob us of the moment.”
