About
Sometimes life can be overwhelming. When you think there is no hope and your faith has worn thin, let me lend you mine. I want to be there to help you through the stressful time.
I respect diverse faiths and values offering individual, marriage, and family therapy for anyone, and I provide Christian therapy to those who want to incorporate a Biblical worldview. I love empowering individuals to work through life’s difficulties and change negative thinking and behaviors. I like connecting with couples and families to repair relationships and restore harmony. I enjoy teenagers who need to learn coping and life skills and parents who need coaching. I also see clients who are working to free themselves from the bondage of substance and behavioral addictions.
I’ve been married 45 years and have three adult children and six grandchildren. Until a few years ago, my husband, David, and I pastored a local outreach ministry to at-risk children, teens, and families. We worked in the hills and hollows of Eastern Kanawha County where many families encountered homelessness, poverty, drugs, hopelessness, and despair. It was exciting to see physical and spiritual lives changed through some of our work.
I’m excited to be ina profession where I can integrate therapy and faith. I received my Master’s in Professional Counseling in 2002, and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of West Virginia since 2009, but I have been a counselor since I can remember.
One of my greatest pleasures is helping people heal from hurts, fears, grief, and pain to live rewarding and meaningful lives. I want to help you restore and improve your relationship with yourself and others.
