Ciara Dickens is a licensed professional counselor who empowers her clients to better manage their lives primarily by emphasizing personal strengths and resiliency and by teaching clients the necessary skills to improve their symptoms and relationships. Previous experience has included but is not limited to assisting clients with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relational conflict, and adjustment to major life changes. Ciara’s primary therapeutic approach includes the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with Solution-Focused Therapy, but she will frequently utilize different therapeutic approaches to best serve clients and their presenting needs. Ciara uses the 7 dimensions of wellness (physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, and occupational) to help clients identify their needs and assists them in creating goals that will empower them to bring about significant positive life changes.

Ciara holds an additional major in Bible. Ciara has provided Christian counseling and spiritual encouragement in a variety of settings: traditional outpatient therapy in an office setting, spiritual encouragement and visitation in a hospital, and she has facilitated grief groups in church settings. Christian ethics based upon the Holy Scriptures provide the framework for discussion and guidance.
