Entering college as a mostly agnostic student, I began to research and pursue information about world religions and belief systems in earnest.  After several semesters of study, I came to the conclusion that Christianity alone made sense and satisfied the questions my skeptical pre-med mind had.  I put my faith in Christ, gave my life to God, and began attending a church in town and also got involved with campus ministry.  Fast-forward several years, and I found myself on staff at a local evangelical church.  As I met with congregants for counseling, I realized my skills were lacking, and went back to graduate school to earn my MS in Counseling Psychology.

Licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist, I’ve been working with individuals, couples, and families for over 20 years now in various settings, including churches, agencies, and private practice.  My approach is eclectic and pragmatic, fueled by Scriptural underpinnings such as Proverbs 23:7 and Romans 12:2.  Believing that beliefs shape behavior, and behavior shapes our life, I utilize therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ACT, and EFT, as well as others.

I share our counseling practice with my wife of 30 years, Kim, and we have 5 children.
