My favorite verse is Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.” Everything changes when you realize that verse is a command from God to meditate. We call it mindfulness now, but calling it something new does not change anything. Anxiety lives mostly in the future, depression often lives in the past, but God, and peace, is in the present. When you are able to truely live in the present moment, when you grow closer to God, mental health struggles and relationships improve. You find clarity of thought and behaviors begin to shift. I use a modality called Acceptance and Integration Training to help you reach a state of peaceful meditation that helps you find that peace and increase the space between stimulus and action.
