I felt a calling to be a marriage and family therapist after I graduated with my undergraduate and was working with the families at an assisted living community. I loved listening to their stories and challenges, and wanted to help further. God has equipped me with a talent of seeing issues as a whole and having a heart to help. God also calls all of us to engage in relationship with Him and I feel this is a very important part of therapy to be able to listen to His direction within the process. I love helping people with their relationships, stress, anxiety and many other challenges we face as humans. My favorite scriptures are Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”; as well as Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it’s the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.” These verses have personally helped me in my struggles in life including grief and loss, infertility, anxiety and times of transition. I also believe it is very courageous for someone to seek out therapy. I am looking forward to meeting you and seeing how I can help.
