Licensed Professional Counselor
About
My Background
I hold a master’s degree in counseling and have more than a decade of experience providing therapy in both secular and Christian settings. My education and training enable me to address a wide range of mental health concerns while thoughtfully integrating a faith-based perspective for those seeking spiritual alignment in their healing journey.
My professional journey began at Liberty University, where I graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Biology. Although my early academic focus was rooted in science, I felt a deeper calling to help others address emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges. This led me to pursue counseling as a vocation. In 2013, I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Northwest University. During my graduate studies, I worked closely with a local church group, providing counseling for men facing life transitions, relationship challenges, and spiritual struggles. This hands-on experience not only strengthened my counseling skills but also reaffirmed my sense of purpose in guiding others toward growth and restoration.
Throughout my career, I have developed expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory, and family systems theory. I am also trained in advanced methods such as the Gottman Method for couples counseling, which is designed to strengthen relationships, and training in sexual addiction treatment. These tools allow me to craft personalized strategies for individuals and couples seeking holistic and transformative care.
My Philosophy
At the core of my therapeutic approach is the belief that every person is a unique creation of God, imbued with inherent value, purpose, and potential. Therapy, in my view, is a collaborative and dynamic process. It is a space where you can safely explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while being supported and encouraged to grow. My role is to help you align your faith and values with practical strategies, equipping you to face life’s challenges with resilience and clarity.
I am passionate about providing care that is both compassionate and effective, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, sexual addiction, relationship struggles, and spiritual concerns. I see these challenges not as insurmountable obstacles but as opportunities to gain insight, discover strength, and experience transformation.
Our work together will focus on identifying your unique strengths and recognizing patterns that may be holding you back. Whether you are seeking to heal from past wounds, navigate current difficulties, or work toward personal or relational growth, I aim to help you uncover clarity, direction, and hope. With God’s grace, healing and renewal are not just possible—they are within reach.
My Mission
My mission is to guide individuals and couples toward healing, growth, and restoration by combining evidence-based therapeutic practices with a Christ-centered approach. I strive to help clients overcome mental health challenges, rebuild relationships, and rediscover a sense of purpose, all while strengthening their faith.
Your struggles—whether they involve depression, anxiety, sexual addiction, relationship challenges, or spiritual concerns—do not define you. Instead, they can serve as stepping stones toward a brighter, more fulfilling future. With the right support and guidance, it is possible to break free from negative patterns and live a life that reflects your values and faith.
I believe in the transformative power of God’s grace and the importance of practical tools in overcoming life’s challenges. Together, we will identify your strengths, address areas of difficulty, and create actionable strategies to help you thrive. Whether you are seeking healing from deep emotional wounds, working through relational conflicts, or simply wanting to live with greater clarity and intention, I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
If you are searching for a therapist who offers professional, compassionate care within a faith-based context, I would be honored to partner with you. Let’s embark on this journey of healing and renewal, discovering the abundant life that God has designed for you.
