I came to know the Lord at a young age, accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and sensing early on that God had called me into a life of service. Over time, that calling became more specific leading me into counseling and life coaching, where I could walk alongside individuals who are hurting, searching, and often overwhelmed.

As I pursued training as a licensed therapist, I began to see that many of the principles taught in counseling such as self-awareness, renewing thought patterns, emotional regulation, and healthy relationship are not new ideas.  They were rooted in Scripture. God, in His wisdom, has already provided the foundation for healing and restoration.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 4:23 (KJV), “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” This aligns closely with therapeutic practices that emphasize guarding our thoughts and emotions, recognizing how deeply our inner life affects our behavior and overall well-being.

In therapy, much of the work involves helping individuals challenge distorted thinking and replace it with truth. This mirrors Romans 12:2 (KJV), “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” True transformation—whether in counseling or spiritually—comes through renewing the mind with truth.

I also emphasize the importance of bringing burdens into the light rather than carrying them alone. Scripture supports this in Galatians 6:2 (KJV), “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” As a therapist and coach, my role is not to “fix” people, but to walk beside them, helping carry the weight while pointing them toward healing.

Anxiety and inner turmoil are common struggles, and both Scripture and therapy offer guidance. Philippians 4:6–7 (KJV) teaches, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” This reflects therapeutic goals of reducing anxiety through intentional practices, while also acknowledging that true peace ultimately comes from God.

My goal as a licensed therapist and life coach is to help individuals experience what Scripture describes as “peace…which passeth all understanding.” I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, process pain, and grow while also, when appropriate, integrating biblical truth as a source of hope and direction.

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) reminds us, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” This verse beautifully reflects the heart of both therapy and faith: moving from fear and brokenness toward strength, love, and clarity.

Ultimately, my calling is to walk alongside those who are hurting not ahead of them, not above them but with them. By integrating sound therapeutic practices with the unchanging truth of God’s Word, I believe real healing, tranquility, and inner peace can be experienced.
