Christian Therapist – Bilingual: English & Spanish in California and Florida

Being a therapist is my calling — and I mean that in the truest sense of the word. My faith deepened through my own seasons of struggle, and it was through leaning into God’s presence that I found healing, clarity, and purpose. I knew I was meant to walk alongside others in their most vulnerable moments, offering the same hope that sustained me.

Through my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and extensive training in evidence-based approaches to treat anxiety, depression, and trauma, I built the clinical foundation to do this work with excellence. In 2018, I founded Florecer Family Counseling — florecer meaning “to flourish” in Spanish — because I believe that is what God desires for each of us: not merely to survive our pain, but to truly thrive.

Three passages that I anchor to the work that I do are: 

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11 

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” — John 10:10

These scriptures tell one unified story: God cares deeply for the wounded, He has a purposeful plan for every person, and He desires not just survival — but an abundant life. This is the foundation of my work. Trauma, however, creates real psychological barriers that prevent even sincere believers from experiencing that fullness. Painful experiences can distort how we see ourselves, others, and even God. My calling is to walk alongside my clients and help them identify and remove those barriers, so they can step into the life He has already won for them.

My approach is holistic — God created us as whole beings: mind, body, and spirit — and lasting healing honors all three. I integrate evidence-based treatments such as EMDR, DBT, and Trauma-Focused CBT with Biblical principles and, when a client desires it, prayer and scripture reflection.

In practice, this might look like helping a client process traumatic experiences while affirming their identity in Christ. For couples, I draw on Biblical principles such as forgiveness while equipping them with tools to understand and manage their emotions and break unhelpful relational cycles. With those navigating grief or anxiety, I hold a safe space for lament while providing practical psychological tools to face life’s most difficult challenges.

I prioritize my clients’ needs and follow their lead — providing a judgment-free space, meeting each person where they are, without imposing my values or agenda. Faith integration is available for those who desire it and becomes a powerful part of the healing journey; for those who prefer a more traditional therapeutic approach, that is equally welcomed and respected.

As a clinical supervisor at Florecer Family Counseling, I mentor and supervise staff as well as MFT trainees from Worku Counseling and Fuller Seminary — equipping the next generation of Christian therapists to offer care that is both clinically excellent and spiritually grounded. I work with individuals, couples, and blended families in English and Spanish across California and Florida, where I offer convenient, secure telehealth sessions for clients who prefer to meet virtually from the comfort of their own home.
