I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing in-person or virtual counseling for adolescents through older adults in the Indianapolis area or virtually across Indiana. I also find it a privilege to provide clinical supervision for Licensed Social Workers on their journey to become an LCSW.

I opened a private practice with a mindset of ministry. My personal values and Christian worldview inform the work I do. I use a holistic approach to counseling. Mental health is interconnected with various aspects of life, and I believe it is important to address not only immediate mental health concerns, but also emotional, physical, social, and spiritual. I believe theology and psychology have shared values, and I intertwine scripture and Biblical principles into my practice. I believe that ultimately Jesus transforms lives. God’s love is unconditional and so must be that of a counselor who is a Christian.

After over 30 years in the social work field, I entered private practice to tailor therapy to fit your unique and specific needs, and help you gain the most out of counseling. My experience includes a wealth of experience working closely with families, children & adolescents, adults, and older adults. I have worked in medical social work, including inpatient setting; with Veterans; foster and adoptive families; family members taking on parenting roles for other family members; and providing support for a variety of caregivers. I have personal experience in having been a primary caregiver for members of my family.

In my free time you will find me enjoying the outdoors, playing pickleball or board games, or spending time with my husband, adult children, and grandchildren. I am always available for a great adventure and enjoy traveling.

Practice Description

The compassionate services you receive from Pathways Counseling are rooted in a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. Mental health challenges can manifest differently at different life stages. Our goal is to empower individuals to navigate those challenges and transitions, promoting mental well-being at every age.

Entering the office, you will find a safe non-judgmental space where you are able to freely explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. I approach each client with empathy, respect, and genuine commitment. Evidenced-based interventions suitable for diverse mental health concerns are utilized, and are practiced from a client-centered, strengths-based approach. When appropriate, I use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for trauma and other mental health needs. EMDR is a great way to work through pain and heal trauma more quickly.

I encourage you to start your journey to find hope, healing, and clarity. You have already taken a courageous step by seeking a relational, collaborative Christ-centered therapist who will support you. I invite you to reach out.
