About
My Personal Testimony
My faith journey took a defining turn prior to high school while attending the Burn Internship at New Life Church. It was during this season that I surrendered my life to Christ and was deeply discipled. The internship equipped me with vital spiritual tools, biblical insight, and a grounded sense of clarity that anchored me through both my high school and college years. Walking through those formative years with a strong scriptural foundation shaped my personal walk with God and cultivated my heart to walk alongside others in their own healing journeys.
Biblical Integration in Counseling
In my counseling practice, I operate from the core conviction that I am simply a steward of the work God is already doing in my clients’ lives. I rely on specific scriptural truths to guide how I view and care for every person who enters my office:
Psalm 139:1, 4 reminds me that God intimately knows each individual; their deepest thoughts, struggles, and words before they are even spoken. This grounds my practice in profound respect and care for their unique story.
2 Corinthians 5:17 serves as an anchor of hope, affirming that in Christ, transformation is possible and old patterns can give way to a new creation.
2 Timothy 1:7 provides the framework for mental and emotional clarity, reminding us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
I actively weave biblical practices into therapy sessions to align psychological growth with spiritual health. Depending on the client’s needs, sessions may incorporate prayer to invite the Holy Spirit into the healing process, and scripture referencing to anchor truth against destructive mindsets. I also emphasize the practical necessity of honoring the Sabbath to foster intentional rest and emotional regulation, while consistently encouraging fellowship with the body of Christ so clients build healthy, accountable community beyond the counseling room.
