Jerrod Glenn, Pastoral Counselor, M. Div., M.S. MFT
Jesus was filled with compassion when he saw people who were helpless, “like sheep without a shepherd (Matt. 9:36).” Sometimes in life we need a shepherd ‘figure’ to help us get through difficult seasons we’re facing and with the help of the Good Shepherd, I’d love to be that for you.
I’m Jerrod Glenn, retired Army Chaplain. I have been working in the Marriage and Family arena for over 17 years and have helped hundreds of military Service Members and their Families with life struggles of all kinds. Now I have the opportunity to bring those experiences and skills from the military setting as your Pastoral Counselor. I look forward to continuing my service to God’s kingdom by comforting the afflicted, binding up the broken-hearted, and setting captives free (Isaiah 61).
What I bring with my experience will help you process through your journey and find more meaning through a biblical lens. Everyone is worthy of seeking a more fulfilling life, and with God’s help, my endeavor is to help others not just to survive, but to THRIVE.
My down time is spent loving on/chasing down our grandchildren, serving our local church, playing guitar, golfing, and working in the yard. My wife Rita and I have been married for 35 years and have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Please contact me directly for questions or to set up an initial appointment at (254) 300-6433.
My counseling credentials are as follows: Biblical Counseling Certification, AACC (2025), Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, Texas A&M Central Texas, (2016); Army Chaplain Family Life Training Center Graduate, Fort Hood, TX (2016); Master of Divinity, American Christian College and Seminary, (2002); Ordained Minister, Foursquare Gospel Church, (2002); Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministries, Southwestern Christian University (1997).
Certifications during my chaplain years are from functioning as a Strong Bonds trainer which allowed me to hold credentials in PICK a Partner, LINKS Marriage Enrichment, 7 Habits of Highly Effective (Soldiers, Families, Couples), Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage, and Family Wellness. Additionally, I hold certifications in EMDR basic and trauma, Gottman Level 2, and two ‘value of life’ credentials- ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and ACE (Ask, Care, Escort).
