Thalia Santos
Mental Health Coach
About
Although I am new to the field of mental health coaching, I bring years of experience supporting children and adolescents navigating mental health challenges. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and my professional background has given me a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support and the importance of creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel heard and understood.
As a United States Air Force veteran and a proud Hispanic woman, I understand that our life experiences, cultural backgrounds, and personal values shape how we view ourselves and the world around us. I strive to approach each client with humility, compassion, and respect for their unique journey.
My coaching style is relaxed and conversational. I believe meaningful growth happens when people feel comfortable enough to show up as their authentic selves. Rather than creating a rigid or intimidating environment, I aim to foster a space where clients can speak openly, explore challenges honestly, and work collaboratively toward their goals.
For clients who desire it, I am honored to incorporate Christian faith and biblical principles into our sessions. Faith can be a powerful source of hope, strength, and healing, and these elements are integrated only with a client’s permission and according to their preferences.
It is important to understand that mental health coaching is different from licensed mental health therapy. Coaching is a forward-focused, collaborative process designed to help clients identify goals, strengthen coping skills, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. Unlike therapy, mental health coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health disorders, provide clinical interventions, or serve as a substitute for psychotherapy or other mental health treatment. Clients experiencing symptoms that require clinical care may be encouraged to work with a licensed mental health professional in conjunction with coaching services.
My goal is to walk alongside you as you build confidence, gain clarity, and develop practical tools that support your emotional well-being and personal growth. Wherever you are in your journey, you do not have to navigate it alone, and I would be honored to support you as you take the next step forward.
