I have been doing Biblical Lay Counseling at my church for over 11 years.  I enjoy walking with people during tough times, and to see what God can do, in and through them.  When I decided to make a career change, coaching was birthed from my love of counseling.  So it was a good fit for me.

Two scriptures that I use quite often in my own life are I Peter 5:7, where we are told to cast all our cares on the Lord, for He cares for us. It’s good to know that the Lord wants us to bring what concerns us to Him.  I also like Psalm 139, which encourages us by reminding us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in Him.  Sometimes, we just need to recall who we are-children of the King!

In coaching, as in counseling, I always have my Bible ready.  I start and end each session in prayer. I always let clients know that I bring nothing to the table except a willingness to be used of the Lord.  He is the one that gives answers and produces breakthroughs in a person’s life.
