Having lived in different cultures, as a foreign missionary, I bring understanding of different cultures.

While in my studies of cognitive therapy, I would find myself saying to myself, “Well Lord, they found out what was in Your Word all along is true. For example; we leaned that what we think influences how we feel, which in turn influences our behavior.” Immediately I thought of two scriptures; “As a man thinks in his heart so is he” and “Not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.” The power of the Holy Spirit, can transform any stronghold in our lives. He did it in my life many, many years ago at the point of suicide. He came to set the captives free!!

Why not just go to Jesus and His Word? In the book of James we read to confess our faults one to another that you may be healed. Jesus forgives our sins, but confession to another bring healing. In my case, I add the scriptural admonition for the older women to guide the younger woman. That does not limit me to women, but I do a lot of my work with married couples and pre-marital counseling.
