As an AACC Certified mental health coach and trauma informed care mental health coach, I provide coaching that is faith forward and goals focused. Together with the client I will assist the client in setting realistic goals, and objectives to reach within a 4 to 6 week time period. The clients will be expected to have homework weekly related to meeting their goal objectives. Objectives may include reading scriptures directly from the Bible, joining a group at their church, joining a church, stepping out in faith in some way, writing a letter to their child self or to someone who has hurt them in the past-Letters that they will not send, but are only meant for cathartic purposes. This is just a synopsis of what a client can expect working with me; not the full spectrum. I have 18+ years of experience working in community mental health and social services. I have also been a professor of psychology for many years. I have worked with people from all walks of life. Being a mental health coach is not just a job. It is my career and it is my calling from the Lord.
