About

I know what it feels like to be completely alone in your pain. In sixth grade, the bullying I endured became unbearable, and one night I attempted to end my life. That crisis changed everything. I finally got help, and slowly I began to believe my story didn’t have to end in despair. That experience is why I do this work.

I believe healing happens in a relationship. As an attachment-based therapist, I focus on the quality of your connections with yourself and with others as the foundation for growth. I draw from Existential Therapy, EMDR, Expressive Arts, Play Therapy, and more, always working collaboratively with you to find the approach that fits your unique story.

Every part of you is welcome here, especially the parts that have been in hiding for a long time. Therapy can feel messy, like cleaning out a closet, but once everything has a place, you can breathe a little easier every time you open the door.

I am a licensed mental health counselor, PhD, author of seven books, and professor at Colorado Christian University. I am honored to walk alongside you.
