John Trahan
Credentialed Chaplain (CC)
About
As a board-certified pastoral counselor and master mental health coach through the International Board of ChristIan Care (IBCC) and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), I serve as the Care Pastor for Christian Life Fellowship, in Calera, AL. I have served as a chaplain on active duty with the U.S. Navy and as a Federal Bureau of Prisons chaplain for nearly 28 years of combined service. I’ve also pastored 3 churches and now serve as a volunteer chaplain for our local Sheriff’s Office and local U.S. Secret Service.
All of my training and education have been faith-based and I find my Scriptural foundation in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 which says: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.”
As one of my mentors has taught me, because of our faith in Jesus Christ and the teaching of His Word, we offer more healing, help and hope than you have problems.
We offer biblically based pre-marriage and marriage counseling as well as individual pastoral counseling. Appointments are available by contacting me via email: john.trahan@clfcalera.com or leaving a message on the church phone: 205-395-3777
