Hello, my name is Tara Sibert. I have been licensed as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) for 15 years. I specialize in (but not limited to) relationship issues, self-esteem, depressive disorders, and parenting skills. I take a compassionate approach, as I have worked with a variety of populations throughout my years of experience. The therapeutic models I most utilize are, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques. Additionally, I integrate biblical principles into sessions if desired. I have personally fostered and adopted children, as well as have had my own biological children, and have been married for almost 20 years. That being said, I come with my own experiences and not simply what I have learned in school. I am currently in a very “busy season” in my own life, as I have two teens and a preschooler. There are many emotions running wild in my home, so I bring zero judgement onto any of my sessions. Life is a journey and I am confident God is in control. When I rest in this truth, things tend to flow much better. Life is hard and sometimes exhausting and frustrating. This is what drew me to study and work in this field, as we all get stuck and we all need help sometimes. “The idea is simple: we need to need each other. People are the fuel for us to grow, be healthy, and prosper. God created a system in which we are to need not only him but also one another” ~John Townsend  That said, it is ok to need help getting “unstuck”. Don’t be afraid to reach out.
