Before becoming a counselor, I worked in the public school system for 7 years as a middle school teacher. Although there were many benefits to being an influential person in the lives of young people, the system itself was my biggest stressor. I sought counseling at the suggestion of a family member and it completely changed my life (so much so I left my first profession and began another). With the help of a Christian counselor – who was also a former teacher – I was able to see the the log in my own eye (Matthew 7:3-5). My goal in my practice is to help others do the same. The road is hard work, but when were we ever promised that life would be easy? I offer a space that is comfortable, casual, and Christ-centered so processing can begin. Let’s get started!
