Georgia completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology through the University of South Alabama in 1989. Twenty-four years later she enrolled at Evangel University to earn her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Georgia received her certification as a Gatekeeper from the Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Program. She has completed the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 training as well as Systematic Training for Effective Parenting curriculum. Georgia has completed several trauma based trainings including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional: Two­ Day Trauma Competency Conference, and 2-Day Intensive Trauma Treatment Certification Workshop as well as online lectures from leaders in the field of trauma treatment. Upon graduation, Georgia moved to Florida where she is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Georgia is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and is an approved counselor for Emerge. Georgia desires to see people live a life of wholeness and uses multiple appropriate therapy practices coupled with her compassion for clients to see them heal.
