I have had the pleasure of providing counseling in a church community for over 10 years.  My heart is to serve those who serve the Body of Christ and their families by providing a safe place to meet God for their own healing journeys.  I also have a heart for women seeking healing and restoration. In my own journey, I have experienced the power of God’s ability to heal and restore me, and I have had the pleasure of walking alongside many in the healing of trauma.

My work is guided by prayer, empathy, and counseling skills.  I have developed Counseling Skills in my work in a hospital setting, a Church setting, a mental health clinic, and now in private practice.  I have specialized training in Trauma and EMDR Therapy (a trauma treatment modality designed to address past issues that affect your present life), and I invite God into my sessions to heal deep wounds or new wounds with His wisdom and transforming power.

The scripture that informs and describes my work is Isaiah 61.  In safety and gentleness, I provide a space to invite God to bind up wounds, proclaim freedom and bring comfort to areas in the heart and mind that have been hurt or neglected.  I use the words of the bible to work with negative thought patterns and beliefs.  I use prayer to invite God’s presence and his purpose for each client and each session.
