Growing up my life was marked by trauma. From the age of seven I grew up in the church and I went to a Christian school from 3rd grade through 12th grade. Those didn’t insulate me from trauma and I struggled to fully know and believe I was accepted by Jesus. I began personal therapy and learned how to uncover the lies I believed about myself and Jesus. In doing that I found complete deliverance from everything that held me back in my faith. Putting into practice the tools I learned stopped my knee-jerk reactions to other people.

This is what I incorporate into each session. I lean on the Holy Spirit every day and I pray Isaiah 11:2, I pray that the Spirit of the LORD would rest on me, His spirit of wisdom and strength, understanding and counsel, knowledge and the fear of Him. Every day I am reminded that I can do nothing apart from Jesus.
