Hi! My name is Vanessa Austin, Licensed Professional Counselor. After working as an accountant in the oil and gas indurstry for 7 years, I received what some might identify as “a calling” to sell my house and leave corporate america to pursue God’s plan for my life (Jeremiah 29:11).

As I pursued God’s plan and surrendered to his plan, I was led to Tulsa, Oklahoma in pursuit to attend Oral Roberts University. In 1991, I obtained my master’s degree in Christian Counseling and in 1997, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor. Now, I have over 20 years of experience serving children, adolescents, adults, and families with a wide range of challenges such as emotional & behavioral disorders, foster care & adoption issues, abuse & trauma, personal, family & work stress, grief and loss, divorce & separation, marital and pre-marital concerns, etc.

One of my greatest achievements in the field of counseling was becoming a board approved supervisor in which I train new counselors in the field. Giving back what God gave to me is my way of saying “Thank you God” for being my “Guide” to a purpose-filled life.

Healing and freedom come when we can be transparent about what ails us. Hence, my goal with each client is to develop a therapeutic relationship of trust at your comfort level. You will be offered healthy coping skills and a safe place to heal while transformation occurs. I look forward to the journey we will take together, as you reach your desired goals.
