My decision to become a therapist like many was shaped not only by education and training, but by my personal experiences. Like many people, I have experienced seasons where faith was my anchor and other seasons where I had to wrestle with God while navigating emotional pain. Through those experiences, I came to understand that emotional pain didn’t define my faith or the lack thereof but about bringing my whole-self to Him.
Scripture continues remind me that God is present in the healing process. Verses such as Psalm 147:3, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds,” and Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it,” shape how I view emotional and spiritual care. I am also guided by Romans 12:2, which speaks to the renewal of the mind something I see unfold beautifully when clients begin to challenge unhealthy patterns and step into truth in His word.
In my work with clients, I integrate Biblical principles in a way that is gentle, respectful, and led by the client’s preferences. Biblical-based counseling can include prayer, scripture reflection, exploring God-given identity, setting healthy boundaries, processing forgiveness, or addressing spiritual struggles that arise alongside anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship concerns. I also hold space for those who have experienced church hurt or confusion around faith and mental health, helping them reconnect with God in ways that feel safe and authentic.
I believe therapy is a space where clinical wisdom and spiritual truth partner together. My role is not to preach, but to walk beside you with compassion, discernment, and professional care, trusting that God is present in the healing journey. Whether you are deeply rooted in your faith or seeking to rebuild trust with God, you are welcome here.
