My journey in becoming an Associate MFT has been shaped by my own ongoing experiences of healing from grief, suffering, and hurt; it was within those times of strife that I felt the Lord met me. I believe that where hurt meets healing is a holy thing, and that therapy can be a sacred space where these two experiences are held together with compassion.
One scripture that resonates with me and guides my work is Psalm 51. I find it captures David’s vulnerability, his desire for God’s compassion, and his hope for restoration through dependence in God. David openly acknowledges his actions while also asking for mercy, demonstrating how we can take responsibility for our choices without allowing shame to define who we are. His prayer to “create in me a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me” reflects the kind of deeper internal transformation that can take place through therapy. Healing often involves exploring the thoughts, emotions, beliefs, wounds, and patterns that can exist beneath our behaviors. This scripture also shapes my belief that healing is both deeply personal and collaborative. I believe therapy is a place where two people come together with empathy and gentle curiosity to understand the depths of what you are experiencing and the desires you have for your own healing.
With this understanding of healing in mind, my goal is to create an environment where you can be honest, vulnerable, and fully yourself without the pressure to have everything figured out. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based frameworks, which recognizes how early life experiences and significant relationships can shape the way we understand ourselves, others, and the world around us.
I have a particular interest in supporting children, teens, adults, and couples who experience anxiety, struggles with identity or self-worth, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and relationship challenges. I believe each person has the capacity for growth and change, and it would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you discover what healing looks like for you.
