As a Child of God, I have seen the work of my Father’s hand in my life. Born to addicted parents, I grew up around family violence, addiction, codependency, abuse, and neglect. I managed to get through my childhood becoming self-reliant, perfectionistic, secretive, and deceptive. When I was 19 years old, after my dad became methamphetamine free, he took our family on missions’ trip in Guatemala. After unforeseen events occurring, our airplane crashed, eleven of the fourteen people were killed, including my dad and brother. I amazingly walked out of the crash, with a scratch on my left arm. Since then, and with over a decade of healing work, I have dedicated my life to Christ, watching Him continue to lead, guide, convict, and transform my life from the inside out.

I believe the Word of God is the ultimate authority of life.  God’s Word is truth and God’s Word is powerful, living, active and able to penetrate deeply to reveal our innermost thoughts, intentions, motives, and sin nature (“the word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword” Hebrews 4:12).  I depend on the Holy Spirit, opening up in prayer, utilizing my gift of discernment to “see” the deeper areas that need to be healed (“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” John 1:5).  As folks humbly enter into therapy, God meets them where they are at, and He uses therapy as a vessel to sanctify and transform His beloved children from the inside out.  Therapy is a painful experience, but as followers of Jesus, we are called to “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow me” Matthew 16:24.

God has called me to use my pain for my good and His Glory! “For you are great and do wonderous things; you alone are God. Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.” Psalm 86:10-12
