Hello, I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC22578). I specialize in teens and adults, providing a warm and supportive environment for personal growth and emotional healing. I am a trauma-informed therapist with training in EMDR. I help people of all ages face and uncover issues from their past and help them face their future unafraid. I provide a non-judgmental space to work collaboratively with my clients to achieve their unique goals.
I had the joy of growing up attending church as a young child. This did not mean that my family was perfect; actually, far from it. Church became my safe place. I enjoyed the kindness of people who attended and found the kindness of the Savior in their actions and words. As an anxious teen, I held onto verses that have continued to guide and strengthen me for years. Verses like, “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:12, 13) have sustained me. Jesus is continually the Rock I cling to and stand on. He has seen me through car accidents, moving away from people I know, the separation of my parents and the death of my dad, financial challenges, and more. By His grace, I became an ordained pastor who ministered to children and teens for many years. Now, I get to meet one-on-one with people in a different but similar format.
As a therapist, I only know part of the story; Jesus is the perfect counselor. I seek to lean on His wisdom whenever I meet with clients. We may pray together, use Bible verses, seek support from local believers, or simply focus on each person’s unique story. But I always defer to His wisdom over mine.
