At times, we face challenging circumstances which can lead to unmanageable emotions or relationships that don’t work. If you’re struggling, seek help and know that things can change. I have several ways to decrease the pain. I’m here to support you.  We target specific goals of change and identify steps toward those goals. I use science-based interventions exploring past and current patterns that hold you back from making progress. Most of my clinical experience has been treating depression, anxiety, grief, bipolar, trauma, and PTSD.  I have been a Christian for 49 years and will weave spirituality into our sesessions; however, I will defer to your decision whether to include it or not. As mentioned above, I use research-based interventions and add spiritual and biblical prinicples to our sessions, such as Scriptures, videos with affirmations, and lots of spiritual tools from my biblical classes. Well-being is one class that I’m studying to be a certified Human Flourishing coach. Everyone wants to be satisfied with life and to be happy. This certification teaches me how to help you get there spiritually.  I’m also studying to be a certified Christian counselor, which has taught me how to integrate daily issues in a biblical manner. A couple of my favorite Scriptures are in Proverbs 23, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” This is why I use the golden child of therapy, CBT, which renews your mind to think biblically and spiritually. The other Scripture is in Proverbs 3: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understand.  In ALL thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct they paths.” Is there any better way to live in this world than with God directing your paths with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding?
