Welcome! As a mental health counselor, my role is to support people in finding healing, purpose, and identity in their lives. I approach counseling within the lens of a journey. You are on your own journey toward the person that you want to be and the kind of life you want. There may be times during this journey that you are stuck, you are scared, you don’t know what direction to take, you can’t see where you want to go, or you simply can’t take another step. At times, this means you need guidance, support, a coach, a teacher, or someone to help you take another step. This is how I view my role as a counselor, and this is my passion. I strive to work with clients where they are on their journey. This means that I customize my approach with every client to meet their needs.

I completed my EMDR Basic Training in January 2025. I have a special interest in providing evidence-based therapy for people who struggle with trauma, whether this is from early-life experiences or experiences later in life. I offer therapy from an adaptive information processing and emotion-focused perspective. I am passionate about working with clients to form a customized approach to their specific struggles. In this light, I incorporate various forms of therapy to meet clients where they are at, including EMDR, Emotion-focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral, Existential, Reality, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative therapies. My goal is to help facilitate peoples’ growth to the best version of themselves, own their God-given identity, and heal from past and current pains. I am passionate about helping people learn more about themselves and the meaning in their lives. I believe that people are driven to find answers in truth for their emotions and struggles. My role is to help clients experience those answers and live out the truth of who they are.  I help people walk through the difficult and challenging emotions in their lives while celebrating the positive moments. I work with people to discover what is creating and impacting their current distress and pain as well as journey toward a more truthful and fulfilling sense of self. I problem-solve with clients to find solutions to parenting, marital, and everyday behavioral struggles. I value the inherent ability for healing and growth that is present in each person, and I seek to help each client uncover and utilize this ability. As a Christian, I value respecting each client’s personhood, values, and beliefs. Most of all, I value the power that positive connection and love has in healing the soul, mind, and body. I approach counseling through a Christian perspective in addition to evidence-based counseling approaches. I currently serve adolescents, adults, couples, and parents. I do not serve children, but I am able to work with you on parenting skills to use in your home.

Outside of counseling I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, spending time with family and friends, studying the Bible, growing the Church, archery, woodworking, reading, and learning about God’s most complex and beautiful creation: humans.
