Hello, and welcome. My name is Kristen Hoey, and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor offering Christian counseling for adults. My heart for this work grew out of my own faith journey and a deep belief that God cares about the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I feel called to walk alongside others during seasons of anxiety, grief, transition, and overwhelm, offering both compassionate clinical support and the hope found in God.

In my practice, I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, chronic stress, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and college or career concerns. I also work with individuals managing the emotional impact of chronic health conditions, as well as parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children, including those on the autism spectrum, who may be experiencing burnout, fatigue, or ongoing stress.

My counseling approach integrates evidence-based therapeutic practices with biblical truth. I believe that emotional healing and spiritual growth can work hand in hand. When clients desire it, we may incorporate prayer, reflection on Scripture, and discussion of how God’s Word speaks to their circumstances and identity.

Several Scriptures deeply guide my work. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” This verse reflects the heart I bring to therapy—creating a space where people feel safe, supported, and not alone in their struggles. Matthew 11:28, where Jesus invites us to “come to me, all who are weary and burdened,” also shapes my approach as I help clients find rest, renewal, and hope.

My goal is to create a counseling environment where clients feel understood, respected, and encouraged as they process life’s challenges while growing in resilience and faith. Whether someone is seeking practical tools for coping or a deeper integration of their faith and emotional wellbeing, I strive to meet each person with compassion, wisdom, and grace.
